Softball

Playing high school softball will be one of my best memories of my high school career. So many wonderful things happened playing softball. We had so much fun together. From State in Ashland, Ohio, during the spring of 98 to spring training in Florida in the spring of 2000, we have had great times together. I'm going to miss my teammates so much after I graduate. Good Luck to the 2002 Southington Softball team!!

2001

We have a very young team, but we have all played with eachother for a long time. One good thing about our team is we get along great and have fun, but when it comes to game day we get down to business. We had a very successful 2001 season. We topped off Matthews and Mineral Ridge to earn the Division IV District Title and beat Bedford Chanel to make it to Regional Finals. We lost to Loudenville and are Regional Finalists. Our record for the year was 19-5.

2000 TOURNAMENT
  
In the year 2000 we finished out as District Champions.  We made it to the Regional Championship but lost to the Defending State Champion, 
Hillsdale. 


   




FLORIDA 2000
 

        

We left for Florida in April of 2000 to begin our season. We played against teams from around the country
 at the beautiful Disney's World of Sports complex.  

    

              
  


   


Beth helped coach the JV on the Southington Softball Team.  The JV went undefeated for the 2000 season.





STATE 1998


   


Going to State for softball will be one of my favorite memories of my high school career.  The entire town of Southington welcomed us home after the game with flares,
 firetrucks, and candles.  It was an unforgettable sight.
